Diptych Part 1. Here is my homage to Vienna! The elegant and vibrant city in which two of my super=favorite painters - Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele - were born, and that used to charge my imagination with the magic of stories related to the "Blue Danube". In addition, after, when I grew up, I could better understand my imagination by studying another famous Austrian mind, Freud. Thus, immersed in so much personal and historical significance, I dared to create a diptych to honor these giants of our culture as well as their amazing city. Among so many technical challenges I faced while working on this oil piece, something that was particularly delightful for me was the decision to orchestrate a symbolic aerial view of the city with a yellow-green Danube running across the canvas. Why is this Danube yellow green? Well, the real one is not blue either!
