I was entering my studio one morning, when I looked to the studio window and, in my mind I saw this long and narrow group of vases with long cascading flowers that, in Brasil, we would call “Palmas”. It reminded me that, when I was a child, I used to go with my mother to buy them to decorate our house on special occasions. So I saw those vases glowing in my mind' screen as if past and present would have merged into a here and now dimension. I immediately found a white canvas on the studio that seemed to be the perfect size. Then, from the first application of paint till the last brush stroke the painting process was so fluid, that, as in rare opportunities, it was like magic. An image that was just like an epiphany!
